Job Description:
The Program Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of mission-driven events that support program delivery, community engagement, and donor visibility in Al Wakrah. Working closely with program leads, communications staff, and external partners, the manager ensures events are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and are delivered with high quality, cultural relevance, and measurable impact.
Key responsibilities include developing annual event calendars, managing budgets, coordinating logistics, securing venues and permits, supervising staff and volunteers, and overseeing the production of promotional materials. The Program Events Manager also ensures that all events comply with safety and regulatory standards, facilitate meaningful participant experiences, and contribute to overall program goals. Post-event evaluation and reporting, along with stakeholder follow-up and impact tracking, are also core to this role. The position requires strong organizational leadership and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder events.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and managing events, preferably within a nonprofit or NGO setting.
Skills:
Proven ability to manage large-scale and community-focused events.
Strong project and budget management capabilities.
Experience in stakeholder coordination and team leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with event risk assessment and reporting.
Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of local event regulations and cultural practices in Al Wakrah.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
