Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Baking Expert to lead daily production in our artisanal bakery in Madrid. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide range of breads, pastries, and baked goods using both traditional and modern techniques.
You will manage ingredient preparation, dough mixing, proofing, baking, and presentation. In this hands-on role, you’ll ensure every product meets our freshness and quality standards. You will also work on recipe testing, improve existing formulas, and support seasonal or custom orders.
Your responsibilities include managing the baking schedule, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting junior bakers and apprentices. You’ll contribute to creating an inspiring and efficient bakery environment with a focus on quality and consistency.

Job Requirement:
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a bakery, ideally working with sourdough, laminated doughs, and specialty breads. Formal education in baking or culinary arts is preferred.
Strong knowledge of fermentation times, baking temperatures, and dough characteristics is essential. You should be skilled in using commercial ovens, mixers, proofers, and scales. Consistency, timing, and quality control are top priorities for this role.
Fluency in Spanish is required; basic English is a plus. Applicants must be punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable working early morning shifts, as most baking starts before dawn. Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and stand for long periods is necessary.
You must be able to follow recipes precisely while also contributing creative ideas for new products. Basic knowledge of allergens and health safety practices in food handling is mandatory.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude are required to work effectively with the team. A portfolio or photos of previous baked products may be requested. Availability on weekends and holidays is expected during high-demand periods.
