Job Description:

We are hiring a dependable and hands-on Facility Handyman to support daily maintenance and minor repairs at our commercial property in Barcelona. This role is vital to ensuring a clean, functional, and safe environment for employees and visitors across the premises.

The Facility Handyman will be responsible for completing routine maintenance tasks including changing light fixtures, unclogging drains, repairing doors, painting, and inspecting building systems. You will also handle basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Supporting scheduled maintenance activities and promptly addressing unexpected repair needs are key aspects of the role.

In addition, you will assist with setting up furniture, moving equipment, and maintaining outdoor areas such as walkways and building entry points. You’ll report to the facilities manager and help track maintenance records and supplies.

Job Requirement:

Applicants should have at least 1–2 years of experience in general maintenance or building operations. Experience in minor repairs, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, is strongly preferred.

You must be physically fit and capable of lifting tools, climbing ladders, and performing repetitive manual tasks. A technical certification in maintenance or construction is beneficial but not mandatory with proven experience.

Fluency in Spanish is required. Basic English skills are advantageous, especially for reading maintenance instructions and safety signage. You should have good time management skills, be detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks based on urgency.

Familiarity with safety procedures and maintenance tools is necessary. You must follow facility protocols and maintain a safe workspace at all times. Being proactive and reporting larger repair issues to the facilities manager is essential.
