Job Description:
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in Al Ain holds a key executive role ensuring the organization’s full adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. The CCO designs, implements, and manages comprehensive compliance programs across all business operations, mitigating legal risk while fostering a culture of integrity. This includes overseeing internal audits, regulatory filings, data privacy protocols, anti-corruption policies, and employee training on compliance standards. The CCO regularly liaises with regulators, external counsel, and board members, and is responsible for keeping the company updated on legislative changes relevant to operations. The role includes developing robust internal controls, investigating non-compliance, and leading efforts for remediation and enforcement. In collaboration with legal, finance, and operations teams, the CCO ensures alignment of internal processes with local and international regulations (such as AML, GDPR, ESG reporting, and industry-specific standards). This position also plays a vital role in crisis response planning and corporate governance.
Job Requirement:
A law degree or a master’s in compliance, risk management, or business law is preferred. A minimum of 12 years in legal, compliance, or regulatory affairs is required, with at least 5 years in a C-level or equivalent position. Familiarity with UAE and international regulatory frameworks is essential. Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and leadership in governance matters are critical.
