Job Description:
Based in Salmiyah, the Bulk Material Handling Specialist ensures the efficient movement and storage of large volumes of mined materials using conveyors, hoppers, chutes, and crushers. Responsibilities include overseeing loading and unloading processes, maintaining equipment, monitoring throughput rates, and preventing blockages. The specialist will coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and control room personnel to maintain flow consistency and minimize material losses. Monitoring sensors, maintaining safety guards, and adjusting system parameters are daily activities. Precision and understanding of mining product flow are essential for maintaining output quality and productivity.
Job Requirement:
Technical diploma or equivalent experience in material handling or mining operations
Familiarity with bulk transport systems including conveyors, feeders, and crushers
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Ability to monitor and adjust computerized control systems
Knowledge of occupational safety and materials handling regulations
Physical capability to manage dusty and heavy-duty work environments
Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
Attention to detail and process efficiency
Experience with quality control procedures is an asset
Willingness to work rotating shifts and perform emergency maintenance
