Job Description:
Mining Dump Truck Operators are responsible for transporting large quantities of earth, ore, and overburden materials within the mine site. Operating massive haul trucks, these professionals support continuous excavation and material transfer processes by delivering loads to crushers, waste dumps, or processing areas. They ensure safe and efficient haulage along designated routes while maintaining schedule adherence.
Key tasks include pre-shift inspections, careful navigation through haul roads, precise dumping, and effective communication with loading equipment operators. Operators must be able to detect and report mechanical issues and maintain logs of work activities. Their role is integral to sustaining production rates and minimizing equipment downtime.
Job Requirement:
High school education or equivalent.
Valid license and/or certification in off-road dump truck operation.
Prior experience in large-scale mining or quarry operations.
Ability to maneuver large trucks under challenging conditions.
Strong understanding of traffic management and haulage safety.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
Physical ability to climb equipment and endure long periods of sitting.
